A retired New Jersey Police Lieutenant and former detective, Jim retired from the Guttenberg Police Department in 2019.
After retiring from the force, Hosie became Director of Public Safety for Felician University, worked with the Anziolotti Group in national security, and most recently served as Manager of Global Security for NBCUniversal in New York City.
He is currently P3’s Lead Instructor and has been with the team for 6.5 years, known for building clear systems, consistent performance, and trust under pressure.

He is currently P3’s Lead Instructor and has been with the team for 6.5 years, known for building clear systems, consistent performance, and trust under pressure.
Shelly Emery
Shelly Emery brings a unique blend of consulting expertise, systems thinking, and hands-on training leadership to P3 Training Group.
Shelly has a diverse professional background spanning healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and beyond. Her experience in consulting and systems integration enables her to quickly understand how organizations operate and where safety practices can be seamlessly embedded into daily workflows.
Shelly has over 30 years of training experience, specializing in customized, scenario-based programs designed to reflect real-world environments. She is known for developing practical, business-aligned training that allows teams to see the direct impact of their decisions and actions.
Shelly joined P3 in a leadership capacity, helping transform an early concept into a structured, capability-focused training operation. She now serves as the sole owner, leading strategy, content development, and operations.

Jim Hosie
Jim "Hosie" brings decades of leadership experience in law enforcement, public safety, and corporate security to P3 Training Group.
A retired New Jersey Police Lieutenant, Field Training Officer, and former detective, Jim concluded his distinguished career with the Guttenberg Police Department in 2019.
Following retirement, Jim expanded his impact across multiple sectors. In addition to his work with P3, he has served as Director of Public Safety for Felician University, Manager of Global Security for NBCUniversal in New York City, and as a trusted security consultant for organizations and houses of worship.
Currently, Jim serves as a Principal Instructor, Content Expert, and Solution Consultant with P3 Training Group, where he has been instrumental since its founding. He is recognized for designing clear, effective systems and cultivating consistent performance and trust in high-pressure environments.

Jason Messina brings a rare mix of real-time crisis experience and training leadership to P3.
A Criminal Justice graduate and former 911 dispatcher, Jason joined Cliffside PD in 2010. He has served in the Patrol and Training Divisions as a Field Training Officer.
He has been a NJ Police Training Commission–certified instructor at the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute since 2015 and a certified instructor and live-scenario specialist at the Bergen County Police Academy, delivering realistic, performance-based training for active-duty teams.
Jason has consulted with P3 for several years, with a specialization in active shooter response and survival.

He studied Criminal Justice at William Paterson University and began his career in 2003 as a 9-1-1 dispatcher with the Bergen County Police Department. After graduating from the Bergen County Police Academy in 2010, he joined the Cliffside Park Police Department, where he serves in the Patrol and Training Divisions and is a Field Training Officer.
Jason completed New Jersey’s Methods of Instruction program and has been a New Jersey Police Training Commission–certified instructor at the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute since 2015. He is also a certified instructor and live-scenario specialist at the Bergen County Police Academy, delivering realistic, performance-based training for active-duty teams.

Jason is a certified instructor and live-scenario facilitator at the Bergen County Police Academy, where he designs and runs high-impact, performance-based training exercises for active-duty personnel.
At P3, Jason serves as an Instructor and Content Contributor, where he plays a key role in designing and executing high-impact training scenarios. He is known for creating realistic, scenario-driven training experiences.
