As defined by the United States Department of Homeland Security, an active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area, typically using firearms. These situations are both unpredictable and rapidly evolving.
Active shooter situations typically require immediate law enforcement response to stop the threat and minimize harm to victims. Since these incidents often conclude within 10 to 15 minutes, many times before law enforcement arrives, individuals must be mentally and physically prepared to handle such emergencies.
The founders of P3 Training Group recognized a significant knowledge gap between law enforcement and civilians when it came to active shooter threats. In response, P3 Training Group was created to bridge this gap, offering consulting and training services tailored for civilians.
